Apex for Salesforce
The replacement for the
Salesforce CTI adapter
Salesforce Apex integration, is our Camrivoxs' integration using the
Salesforce Developers SOAP API, it no
longer uses the Salesforce CTI
adapter on the users PC, so it will not be affected by
Salesforce switching off the CTI adapter.
Call Control are now all managed
via the Flexor Call Summary window.
If the Apex option is not visible please
contact support who can enable
it for you.
As standard it is currently only
possible to use with Salesforce
and above as API access is required, it is possible to
purchase API access for Professional Edition from
Salesforce. Please contact Salesforce for pricing for API access if you
are using Professional edition.
have had to enable the Flexor Apex option in Flexor Devices and
Applications, once they have confirmed this has been
you, please restart Flexor.
You will find the new Salesforce Apex
under Flexor Devices and Applications. If you click on
this and then
select Configure, you can enable the Flexor Salesforce Apex, under
General, add your Salesforce username, password and Salesforce security
token on the account tab and then save the changes. Flexor will then
need to be restarted again.
Flexor Apex for Salesforce Configuration, General tab:
Check the "Use Flexor" option to enable Flexor Apex for Salesforce and
disable the Salesforce CTI adapter.
Flexor Apex for Salesforce Configuration, Account tab:
Enter your Salesforce credentials
as required, check "Remember
Password" and then click on "Test Login". Wait for the test to complete
and if successful click on "Save". If the test is not successful,
please check and confirm your Salesforce credentials.
Please note that
although the email from Salesforce containing your token suggests that
you need to combine your password and the token in one field, this is
not the case with Flexor Apex. Enter your Salesforce password in the
Password field and your Salesforce token on its own in the Security
Flexor will then ask you to exit and restart to activate the changes.
To exit Flexor, right click on the Flexor (F) icon in the task tray and
select Exit or click on File, Exit from the Flexor OnScreen Window.
Then restart Flexor from Windows, Start, All Programs, Camrivox, Flexor
your Salesforce security token,
when logged into Salesforce, at the
top of the page, click the down arrow next to your Salesforce user
name, then navigate as follows: ,
and click the Reset
My Security Token button.
The new security
token is sent via email to the email address on your Salesforce user
record. Your Salesforce administrator will be able to advise you if you
are using Security tokens or not.
After restarting Flexor, the
be replaced by a Flexor logo when logged into Salesforce with
Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox.
If the Flexor Apex for
Salesforce logo does not appear
please check that the
Flexor extension or add on (as appropriate depending on browser used)
has installed in your browser and is enabled.

on this page
You must also have followed
the instructions here to import
the Call Center in Salesforce to
enable Click to Dial.
Please also make sure Flexor is set under the
Flexor Apex for Salesforce Configuration, Status tab:
The Status tab displays connectivity status between Flexor and your
Flexor Apex for Salesforce Configuration, Server tab:
The Server tab
allows the user to define a Server and Browser URL if required,
or if you are testing with a
Flexor Apex for Salesforce Configuration, Miscellaneous
Clicking on "My Calls Today" will open a browser and run the default
Salesforce Call Activity Report.
If your organisation uses Person Accounts please check this option.
If the Append options are checked, Flexor will search and display
Journal, Opportunities and Cases that are linked to any records found
that match the phone number. If too many appended matches are being
found please un-check these options.
On Starting Flexor if you see the message in the screen shot below
please update your Salesforce
credentials under Flexor Devices
and Applications, Salesforce.com Apex Integration, Account tab.
Remember to click Test Login. This is the username / password you use
to login to Salesforce, not your Flexor username and password.

CTI adapter but notes on the
call can now be made in
the Flexor Call Summary window. To
use this, please make sure the Call Summary window is enabled under
Flexor OnScreen, Options, Call Summary, Window
You can also
choose to leave the Call Summary window open after a call, by setting
Close the summary to "Manually".
